Purwanchal Nagarik Samity was established in 1976 by a group of reputed and philanthropic people of Kankurgachi, for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden and to provide much needed medical care at subsidized rates in the Eastern Region of Kolkata. In the years gone by, the Samity has grown to a multifaceted organization, serving the various needs of the Society.
